About Us

Kaytlin L. Ruzicka is a criminal defense attorney with years of experience practicing throughout North Carolina.

After earning my B.S. in Criminal Justice from Marian University in Wisconsin, I went on to become a paralegal. I worked as an office manager and paralegal for several years before pursuing my J.D. at North Carolina Central University School of Law. During law school I participated in the Juvenile Law Clinic gaining hands-on experience in the courtroom.

After graduating law school in May of 2020, I took the February 2021 bar exam and became a licensed attorney in April 2021.

I started my career with the Durham County Public Defender’s Office as an Assistant Public Defender. In December 2022, I made the switch to private practice representing clients with criminal charges throughout Wake County. In July 2025, I relocated to Little Washington, and continue to proudly serve clients throughout Judicial District 2 and Pitt County.

I am a proud member of the North Carolina State Bar and Judicial District 2 Bar.
